Membership Information

A series of New Members classes is held each Spring and Fall. The class meets three Sunday evenings in a row in our lovely old stone Parish House, which sits at the upper end of the church property.

The first class addresses the topic of "What Does it Mean to be a Christian?" The second class begins with a meal, followed by a tour of the church facility during which time the various ministries of the church are discussed. For example, as the class members tour the sanctuary they are invited to sit high in the choir loft and listen to a demonstration of the marvelous church organ, as well as ask questions about our form and style of worship. The third class addresses the topic, "What is a Presbyterian?"

These classes are open to anyone, and participation in the New Member Classes does not commit a person to join the Ardmore Presbyterian Church, although if a person wishes to become a member attendance at the series of classes is required. Any person who has been previously baptized may join through affirmation of faith, profession of faith, or transfer of church membership from any other corresponding church.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ardmore please call the Church Office (610 642-6650) or check the church Calendar on this website for the dates and times of the next series of New Member Classes.
